Morris Trails Partnership

The Morris Trails Partnership is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the trail networks within the Morris County Park Commission park system. Our current focus parks are Lewis Morris County Park, the adjoining Patriot's Path network, and Pyramid Mountain [Note: Pyramid Mountain is NOT open to mountain biking]. Other activities (such as maintenance, group rides, and races) commonly occur at both Lewis Morris and other Morris County Parks such as Mahlon Dickerson.

Working with volunteers from JORBA, local residents and other volunteers, our mission is to encourage, solicit and coordinate volunteers to participate in projects sponsored by the Morris County Parks Commission . These initiatives aim to keep the parks' networks of multi-use trails marked, maintained and accessible to cyclists, hikers and equestrians alike.

Trail Maintenance is conducted on a scheduled basis once a month and more information can be found in the chapter's user forums.

The volunteer efforts of JORBA's Lewis Morris chapter are coordinated by Greg Murray, a Board Member of JORBA and a Trustee of the Morris Trails Partnership. Greg is an active member of the Park Commission's Adopt-a-Trail program, a member of the National Mountain Bike Patrol, and helps JORBA's Allamuchy Chapter on park patrolling duties.
