Like the legendary swallows of San Juan Capistrano, the Jersey Off Road Bicycle Association (JORBA) Beginner Mountain Bike Group Rides at Allaire State Park have returned!

Starting tonight, Tuesday, April 26th, JORBA will be hosting the weekly rides every Tuesday. Be ready to start promptly at 6:00 pm, from the Hospital Road parking lot.
Although everyone is welcome, these rides are mainly for BEGINNERS who want an easy-paced and friendly ride through the trails of Allaire.

The group moves only as fast as the slowest rider, and no one is ever dropped.
Helmets, water, a bike, and a desire to meet some wacky bike-centric folk are all that is required.
Allaire State Park is probably best known for its historic 19th-century iron making town, Allaire Village, and its antique steam trains on the Pine Creek Railroad.

The Manasquan River, which winds through the park, attracts canoeists and fishermen. The river’s floodplain provides habitat for over 200 species of wildflowers, trees and plants as well as habitat for birds and other wildlife. Hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders enjoy the many trails in the park.

Allaire State Park can be reached from Exit 98 off the Garden State Parkway or Exit 31B off Interstate 195.

The Beginner Group Ride is one of JORBA's most successful programs. For more information, please see JORBA’s website, or contact Frank Harms at
